Request an Account – faculty researchers can request an account for themselves or request an account
for a student or guest collaborator.

Install the VPN Software
Launch Applications -> Self Service
Login with your NetID/Password/Duo
Install - Global Protect: KSU VPN
And
Change VPN Portal to vpn-groups.kennesaw.edu
Connect Global Protect to vpn-groups.kennesaw.edu
Using the globe icon in the top menu bar, click “Connect”
Start an SSH session
Launch Application -> Utilities -> Terminal.app
Type: ssh your_netid@kennesaw.edu
As of August 2022, an HPC SSH session requires DUO
Enter a passcode or select one of the following options:

- Duo Push to XXX-XXX-5309
- Phone Call to XXX-XXX-5309
Start an SFTP session with Cyberduck (cyberduck.io)
Launch Applications -> Cyberduck
Click “Open Connection”
Choose “SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)
Server Host: hpc.kennesaw.edu
Port: 22
Username: your_netid
Password: your_password
As of August 2022, your SFTP session requires a DUO Authentication
Duo step Example: (1 - Duo push, 2 - Phone call)
Your will be asked to provide additional login credentials.
Duo two-factor login for yourNetID
Enter a passcode or select one of the following options:
1. Duo Push to XXX-XXX-1699
2. Phone call to XXX-XXX-1699
Passcode or option (1-2).
