QuickStart - Bitvise

Before you can connect to the KSU HPC, you must be connected to the “vpn-groups” portal in the GlobalProtect app.

Download Bitvise Installer at https://www.bitvise.com/ssh-client-download
Install using the default install settings.

Launch Bitvise and under the Login tab,

Host: hpc.kennesaw.edu
Port: 22
Username: your_netid
Initial method: password

Click “Log in”

Enter your KSU NetID Password and click OK

Close the Banner that appears.

Click the “New SFTP window”

NOTE: As of August 2022, DUO authentication is required to use the HPC via SFTP.
     (1 - Duo Push, 2 - Phone call)

The next window will display your local files on the left half and your remote files on the right half.

You can drag and drop files to and from the two windows and to and from the app window to locations on your local machine.  You can also perform file management tasks like move, copy, rename or delete.  You can also create new directories.
