Fall 2021

    • Alyssa Ozment

      Alyssa is a senior at Kennesaw State University with a major in English. She is expecting to graduate in the summer of 2021 and is looking forward to pursuing an MFA in creative writing.

      After graduate school, she would like to pursue a career in developmental editing. When she is not working, she can be found either reading or fervently writing. Her most recent genre of choice has been science fiction, and she is excited to begin putting her own words out into the world.

      • Jacob Segura

        Jacob Segura graduated in fall 2021 from Kennesaw State University with bachelor's degrees in English and in theatre and performance studies. He also has a minor in linguistics. Jacob does a great deal of creative writing in his spare time. 

        As an undergraduate, Jacob worked in the Office of Research for a year. He enjoyed being able to incorporate his passion and skills into his work to craft the best stories possible. 

        He also worked with the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies’ KSU Tellers, a storytelling troupe, which had given him the opportunity to perform at storytelling festivals and even on the stage of a professional theatre in Atlanta. 

      Spring 2021

        • Dorothy Corbett

          Dorothy graduated in spring 2021 from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. While an undergraduate, she conducted academic research surrounding the impact of social media on celebrity fandom communities. She presented this work at the inaugural fall edition of the university’s Symposium of Student Scholars and the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, both held virtually.

          Dorothy also served as public relations director for KSU’s PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter and volunteers on the social media team for Dragon Con. She now is working as a digital account executive at OnMedia TV Digital and Marketing Sales. 

        Fall 2019 - Fall 2020

          • Geena Lawrence

            Geena graduated from Kennesaw State University in fall 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. Earning several acknowledgements on the dean’s list and president’s list, she graduated with the honor -- cum laude.

            During her time as an undergraduate, she was director of finance for the University Village Suite Community Council on campus and served as the leader on multiple course projects. One of the projects she completed while in her international marketing class was presented at the spring 2020 Symposium of Student Scholars.

            As a student assistant for the Office of Research, Geena wrote many articles for the website and The Investigator Research Magazine as well as advertised the research at KSU through the creation of graphics and social media posts. Now she plans to pursue a career in digital marketing and advertising at a marketing firm near her hometown.

            • Landon Mion

              Landon is a fall 2020 graduate of Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and emerging media and a minor in sociology.

              While working as a student assistant for the Office of Research, he was also an intern for the Kennesaw Journal of Undergraduate Research, a staff writer for The Sentinel, and a member of KSU's Society of Professional Journalists chapter. 

              Landon gained additional experience as an intern for The Daily Caller, a student reporter for The College Fix, a campus correspondent for Campus Reform, a contributor for Lone Conservative, a journalism intern for Pulp Magazine, and a writing fellow with America's Future Foundation. He had previously been a contributor at 71 Republic during the fall of 2019.

              After graduation, Landon began a fellowship at Just the News in Washington, D.C. He now works as a web editor for Townhall Media news organization.
