Other Opportunities
Many opportunities for presenting and publishing your research exist within your discipline.
Talk to your faculty mentor about ways to publish and present in your major. If you need funding for these
opportunities, apply for URCA funds.
The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR)
The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) maintains several resources for student researchers, including student journals, undergraduate presentation opportunities, research opportunities, and more.
*Please note that you may have to login to view some of these resources. KSU is an enhanced institutional member of CUR, which means that every member of the KSU community – faculty, students, staff, and administrators – can become an individual member for free. If you are not already a member, click here for information on how to join!
Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference (GURC)
The Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference (GURC) is a regional, multidisciplinary event open to undergraduates both within Georgia
and beyond. GURC is hosted every fall by a member of the Georgia Undergraduate Research
Collective, an organization dedicated to promoting high-quality undergraduate student-faculty
collaborative research and scholarship across the state of Georgia and the surrounding
region. GURC also serves as a networking conference providing undergraduates with
connections to career and graduate school opportunities.
The next GURC Conference will be November 8-9, 2024. More information about the conference is here.
