Research Center for Sustainable Communities

EQ

The Research Center for Sustainable Communities (RCSC) at Kennesaw State University formalizes a transdisciplinary hub for the advancement of scholarship and partnership on sustainable, equitable, resilient, and healthy community environments. The RCSC catalyzes transformative initiatives through community-engaged collaboration, solutions-based scientific research, and context-specific creative activity.

The RCSC is also committed to cultivating collaborative transdisciplinary research opportunities for empowering students as engaged citizens on real-world pressing issues facing communities – within local, regional, national, and global scales. Addressing such complex challenges requires systems thinking and cutting-edge research by several disciplines working collaboratively and synergistically across a diverse array of stakeholders from the academia, community, industry, government, and nonprofit sectors.
