Carnegie Designated Community Engaged Institution

KSU has been recognized by the Carnegie Foundation with its Community Engagement Classification. To receive this designation the Carnegie Foundation engages with institutions in a substantive process of inquiry, reflection, and self-assessment and requires thorough data collection and documentation of important aspects of institutional mission, identity and commitments, and scope of work throughout the institution connected with the community.  Receiving this designation is a prestigious honor and places KSU as part of a select group of institutions that are considered national leaders in community engagement.

For additional information on the Carnegie Elective Classification on Community Engagement, please see carnegieclassifications.iu.edu.

Please see the brief fact sheet which provides an overview of the Carnegie Elective Classification on Community Engagement and what it means for KSU.
